Happy Monday to you all!
I am back for the second installment of the DSP Video Weekly Recap. It sounds like everyone enjoyed the first video. We received a number of emails from our readers. Many said that they loved the video and wanted to see even more. Very cool!!
It was another busy week for us at DSP. Personally, I was able to run six new athletes through the Functional Movement Screen. The FMS is the first thing all athletes must go through before they begin training at DSP. It allows us to program with precision. And because of that, our athletes are always going to get better results much quicker than those that don’t use some kind of screen. Always remember, if you’re Coach or Trainer is not assessing you, than they’re just guessing on how they can help you. Don’t fall for it!
For those interested in learning more about their strength deficits and movement capacity, email me at dariusg65@gmail.com to set up a time to come in for the FMS. Game changing info!
This past Thursday, I headed up to Philly for the Penn Relays to see a few of our DSP athletes in action. What a great event!
Our girl Nyla jumped 18 feet 7 and came in 5th. It wasn’t close to being her best jump and that’s okay. If she would have hit the mark that she hit last week, she would have finished 2nd at Penn. And that’s in the country!
We still have States, Regionals and Nationals to wreck havoc!
The T.C. Williams Lady Titans 4 x 100 ran at Penn as well. They made it to the finals with their best time of the year! They’ve PR’d every week since they began training at DSP. Now how about that!!
They’re all young and will be even stronger next year. Can’t wait to see how far these young athletes can go!
